How to Start Your Own ESL Service

Would you like to start your own ESL service?  It could be classes, discussion groups, conversation partners, or some combination of the three methods.  Some factors to consider are personnel needs, personnel training, physical facilities, teaching materials/curriculum, assessment tools, and promotion/marketing.  Please contact us!  We would like to assist you.

Becky Wuerzer (rmwuerzer@gmail.com):  Trains ESL teachers of various levels.  

-Teaching experience:  5 years as an ESL teacher and 24 years of teaching experience as a middle school teacher, grammar teacher, and Spanish teacher.  Lived abroad and taught conversational English in China, Central Asia, and Ukraine.

-Education Credentials:  TEFL certified by International TEFL Academy; Certified ESL trainer by NAMB; Masters in Elementary Education, and B.S. in Elementary Education.

Ray Taw (ifc2819@gmail.com):  Trains Discussion Group Leaders & Conversation Partners.

-Teaching experience:  Taught medical English to Chinese Medical Doctors.  Taught business English to mid-level management employees of Ikea Co. in China.  Led discussion groups and served as a conversation partner to International students at Ohio University and to the international community in Cincinnati.  Lived abroad in several countries in East Asia.

-Education Credentials:  ESL certificate from NAMB, Pharm.D., and M.B.A. degrees.
